You can only get Hep c from blood to blood contact, such as blood transfusions, sharing razors or needles, or open wounds that some one who is infected gets blood on. I had a blood transfusion for my foot being cut open on the achilles tendon in the early 70’s and another when my twins were born in 1991. The doctors are not sure which transfusion, gave me hep c, but after going on harvoni, I have been cured. Thank Gof for good medicine and Docs.

  • Ms. Cindy Tracy says:

I was told I had Hep C in 1995. Blood tests reveled my Hep C cleared on it’s own in 2012. With no treatment what so ever. Researching it, I learned 15-20% of Hep C patients do clear on their own. A fact I never heard coming from the medical professions pushing their big pharmaceutical “cures”. Let go & let GOD. Not medical professionals with gigantic egos & god complexes. Their duel interest of making money often outweighs their concern for a patient’s best interest.

You are the exception and there are the small amount of 15-20% that do clear it without help. I had Hep C for 35 years. Dealt with it by herbal remedies. I let go and let God – but that’s way too much of a simplification of this disease. It will ravage whatever weak portion of the body it can take advantage of the weakened ones. I took Harvoni for 2 months and hopefully am cured after the three month treatment … I’m waiting!

THANK YOU for attempting to raise Hepatitis C AWARENESS! Do your work EVERYONE! There is much more new and different evidence out there everyday. Much of which was missed here. The population of children with HepC is growing and will continue to do so until those who are carrying the disease get tested and stop passing the disease on! My nightmare is knowing a child may suffer to the degree I have all these years. I have a different strain of this disease other than the usual Genotype 1, everyone is different. There are 6 ‘Genotypes’ now. Learn to ASK QUESTIONS. Bodily fluids, leaving spilled blood with diseased cells will live for +/- 72 hours for someone else to contact…unknowingly,by accident. Using nail clippers stained with blood and used on someone else! NOTHING IS SIMPLE WITH HEPATITIS C! trust me, I am a veteran survivor. Some call us “survivors in waiting”. The longer you wait the more damage WILL be done to the rest of your body….(I call it the ‘domino effect’) by the nasty cells already in you blood…..traveling from your liver to destroy you. LIke the good doctor said here, ” your death certificate will not say “Hepatitis C”! DON’T BE A STATISTIC!, WHEN YOU JUST MAY BE ABLE TO CALL YOURSELF A SURVIVOR and maybe even a hero…..WITH A CLEAR CONSCIENCE! ……..and so it goes. Keep the faith!

When was this filmed? It was posted in 2016, but they’re not speaking of the newer drugs – Harvoni etc.

    • Nina says:

      My question also.
I’m in Australia and in Feb 2016 I finished the newer treatment and I’m hep c free.
I can’t believe that Canada is so backwards with this disease.
