What is the dosage for Technivie?
UPDATE: AbbVie discontinued Technivie effective December 31, 2018.
According to AbbVie, the manufacturer of Technivie, two tablets are taken daily, in the morning, with a meal. Technivie should only be used in combination with ribavirin. There are limitations to using Technivie including those with moderate to severe hepatic impairment. For all limitations, review Technivie’s Prescribing Information.
For patients with HCV genotype 4 without cirrhosis the treatment duration is 12 weeks when taking Technivie and ribavirin. However, Technivie for 12 weeks without ribavirin may be considered for those that cannot take or tolerate ribavirin.
