Can those co-infected with HIV and Hepatitis C begin Victrelis™ combination therapy?
UPDATE: As of January 2015 Merck announced it will discontinue selling Victrelis in the United States by the end of the year.
There has been nothing established regarding the safety and efficacy of either Victrelis™ alone or in combination therapy for the treatment of Hepatitis C genotype 1 patients co-infected with HIV.
